Description

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Wisconsin Wisconsin River At Portage affecting Columbia County.
What: Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
Where: Wisconsin River at Portage.
When: Until late Monday evening.
Impacts: At 20.5 feet, Indian trail in Lake Delton area is flooded. Other roads that are flooded are River Oaks Road in the Town of Dekorra, River Shores Road in the Town of Lewiston, Levee Road, Wood Street, Summit St, Conant St and parts of Thunderbird Road in the Portage area.
Additional Details: - At 8:30 PM CDT Tuesday the stage was 18.0 feet. - Bankfull stage is 12.7 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:30 PM CDT Tuesday was 18.0 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.3 feet Friday evening. It will then fall below flood stage Monday afternoon. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet. - Flood HistoryThis crest compares to a previous crest of 20.2 feet on 03/17/1973. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. What: Visibility one half mile or less in dense fog.
Where: Columbia, Green Lake, Marquette, and Sauk Counties.
When: Until 9 AM CDT this morning.
Impacts: Low visibility could make driving conditions hazardous.
