Recent heavy rain has resulted in water over roadways in Elroy and Union Center. While heaviest rainfall has moved through the region this evening, it will take several hours for river levels to begin lowering.
What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
Where: A portion of central Wisconsin, including the following county, Juneau.
When: Until 1130 PM CDT.
Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is occurring and will continue. It will take several hours for all the water from these storms to work through local drainage systems in urban areas.
Additional Details: - At 522 PM CDT, Trained weather spotters reported ongoing flooding at Cty Rd PP in Elroy with water nearing the bridge at Cty Rd W in Union Center and Franklin St in Elroy. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Elroy, Wonewoc and Union Center. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
