Description

Another round of thunderstorms this afternoon and evening will pose a threat for heavy rain. This could cause additional chances for flash flooding, rises on area creeks and streams, and will likely exacerbate ongoing river flooding across portions of Southwest and Central Wisconsin. Given the saturated soils across much of this area from previous rain events over the past few days, additional rainfall could create hazardous conditions.
What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.
Where: Portions of central, southwest, and west central Wisconsin, including the following counties, in central Wisconsin, Adams and Juneau. In southwest Wisconsin, Crawford, Grant, Richland and Vernon. In west central Wisconsin, Monroe.
When: From 4 PM CDT this afternoon through Thursday morning.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Additional Details: - An additional .5 to 1.5 inches of rain may fall this afternoon into tonight as heavy rain is expected from thunderstorms. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

Description

The Flood Watch continues for the following rivers in Wisconsin Wisconsin River at Muscoda affecting Iowa, Richland and Grant zones.
What: Flooding is possible.
Where: Wisconsin River at Muscoda.
When: From Saturday morning to Wednesday, April 22.
Impacts: At 10.0 feet, There is extensive lowland flooding. However no flooding has been reported in Muscoda in previous years.
Additional Details: - At 1:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 6.3 feet. - ForecastFlood stage may be reached Saturday morning. - Flood stage is 9.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
