THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED TORNADO WATCH 113 IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM EDT WEDNESDAY FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN MICHIGAN THIS WATCH INCLUDES 17 COUNTIES IN SOUTHEAST MICHIGAN BAY GENESEE HURON LAPEER LENAWEE LIVINGSTON MACOMB MIDLAND MONROE OAKLAND SAGINAW SANILAC SHIAWASSEE ST. Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
Where: A portion of southeast Michigan, including the following areas, Bay, Genesee, Huron, Lapeer, Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Midland, Monroe, Oakland, Saginaw, Sanilac, Shiawassee, St. Clair, Tuscola, Washtenaw and Wayne.
When: Through late Thursday night.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded.
Additional Details: - In the last 10 days, most of southeastern Michigan has seen 1.5 to 4.5 inches of rainfall which has saturated soils before the main spring green up. Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms are likely tonight and continuing through Thursday evening. Over this span of time, an additional 1 to 2 inches of rainfall are expected with 3 to 4 inches possible in some areas dependent on thunderstorm coverage and tracks. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
