Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
Where: A portion of southeast Michigan, including the following areas, Bay, Genesee, Huron, Lapeer, Lenawee, Livingston, Macomb, Midland, Monroe, Oakland, Saginaw, Sanilac, Shiawassee, St. Clair, Tuscola, Washtenaw and Wayne.
When: Through late Thursday night.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be flooded.
Additional Details: - In the last 10 days, most of southeastern Michigan has seen 1.5 to 4.5 inches of rainfall which has saturated soils before the main spring green up. Several rounds of showers and thunderstorms are likely tonight and continuing through Thursday evening. Over this span of time, an additional 1 to 2 inches of rainfall are expected with 3 to 4 inches possible in some areas dependent on thunderstorm coverage and tracks. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Description

At 1258 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Imlay City, moving east at 40 mph.
Hazard: 60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.
Source: Radar indicated.
Impact: Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees. This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of southeastern Lapeer County, including the following location
S: Goodland Township, Attica, Thornville, and Burnside.

Action Recommandée

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 400 AM EDT for southeastern Michigan. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
