The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northwestern Cedar County in east central Iowa Northern Johnson County in east central Iowa Southeastern Linn County in east central Iowa Until 645 PM CDT. At 606 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Oakdale, or near Iowa City, moving northeast at 60 mph.
Hazard: Half dollar size hail.

Locations impacted include Iowa City, Mechanicsville, Coralville, North Liberty, Mount Vernon, Lisbon, Solon, Tiffin, Ely, University Heights, Bertram, Oakdale, Lake Macbride State Park, Newport, Sugar Bottom Camp Ground, Johnson County Fairgrounds, Sutliff, West Overlook, Coralville Lake Dam Complex, and Iowa City Municipal Airport. This includes the following highway
S: Interstate 80 in Iowa between mile markers 236 and 247. Interstate 380 between mile markers 1 and 8.
