What: Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
Where: Portions of Indiana, including the following counties, Elkhart, La Porte and St. Joseph and southwest Michigan, including the following counties, Berrien and Cass MI.
When: Until 730 AM EDT /630 AM CDT/.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
Additional Details: - At 355 AM EDT /255 AM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of about one-half inch is expected over the area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include South Bend, Elkhart, Mishawaka, Michigan City, La Porte, Niles, Dowagiac, Buchanan, Georgetown, Trail Creek, Granger, Simonton Lake, Dunlap, Osceola, Bridgman, New Buffalo, New Carlisle, Berrien Springs, Cassopolis and Three Oaks. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
