The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in IndianaMichigan Saint Joseph River Michigan at South Bend affecting St. Joseph, Berrien and Elkhart Counties. Saint Joseph River Michigan at Three Rivers affecting Branch, Elkhart and St. Joseph MI Counties. Saint Joseph River Michigan at Niles affecting Berrien, St. Joseph and Cass MI Counties. Saint Joseph River Michigan at Elkhart IN affecting St. Joseph MI, St. Joseph, Elkhart and Cass MI Counties. .Excessive runoff from recent heavy rainfall has caused Minor to Moderate flooding on many rivers across the area. Impacts: At 8.0 feet, Flood waters begin to affect river parks and roads and may affect portions of Northside Blvd in the area of Veterans Memorial Park, and Riverside Drive in the areas south of Leeper Park, by Keller Park and Woodland Park. High water may cause flooding of basements and interfere with some commercial activities.

When: Until 8 AM EDT /7 AM CDT/ Thursday.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.
