What: Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: Portions of north central and northeast Ohio, including the following counties, in north central Ohio, Lorain. In northeast Ohio, Cuyahoga.
When: Until 845 PM EDT.
Impacts: Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.
Additional Details: - At 535 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Cleveland, Elyria, Parma, Lakewood, Euclid, Cleveland Heights, Strongsville, Westlake, North Royalton, North Ridgeville, Solon, Warrensville Heights, Amherst, Macedonia and Grafton. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
