What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Mississippi River at Hannibal.
When: Until Saturday evening.
Impacts: At 17.0 feet, John Hay Recreation Area on east side (inside the Illinois Sny Levee) begins flooding.
Additional Details: - At 10:15 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 17.4 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:15 AM CDT Tuesday was 17.5 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.5 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Friday afternoon. - Flood stage is 17.0 feet.

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise even higher than predicted.
