Description

Significant rainfall amounts over the last week or so have led to excessive runoff in the Lemonweir River basin. This runoff is expected to increase river flows over the rest of the week. Additional heavy rainfall is possible on Friday into Friday night, which will bring another chance of increased runoff into the Lemonweir River.
What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: A portion of west central Wisconsin, including the following county, Monroe.
When: Until 945 AM CDT Saturday.
Impacts: Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall. Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.
Additional Details: - At 955 AM CDT, emergency management reported flooding of low- lying areas and several county roads in the warned area. Flooding is already occurring. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Wyeville. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Action Recommandée

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Stay away or be swept away. River banks and culverts can become unstable and unsafe.
