The Flood Warning is extended for the following river
S: Mad River near Springfield.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Mad River near Springfield.
When: Until early Sunday morning.
Impacts: At 14 feet, west 1st Street in Springfield Township floods, including the Forest Lake Fishing and Campround area, with water approaching some businesses along West 1st Street. Spangler Road downstream of Springfield also floods. Flood waters approach several homes to the southwest of Springfield. In addition, the Mad River experiences widespread flooding in Champaign County near the river.
Additional Details: - At 2:15 PM EDT Saturday the stage was 14.5 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to fall below flood stage late this evening and remain below flood stage as it continues to fall. - Flood stage is 12 feet.
