Description

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Michigan Grand River at Lansing affecting Ingham County. Red Cedar River At East Lansing affecting Ingham County. Thornapple River Above Hastings affecting Barry County. Thornapple River Near Caledonia affecting Kent County. Sycamore Creek At Holt affecting Ingham County. Maple River at Maple Rapids affecting Clinton County. Portage River near Vicksburg affecting Kalamazoo County. Muskegon River at Bridgeton affecting Newaygo County. Muskegon River at Newaygo affecting Newaygo County. Muskegon River At Evart affecting Osceola County.
: The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Michigan Grand River at Ionia affecting Ionia County. Looking Glass River Near Eagle affecting Clinton County. White River near Whitehall affecting Muskegon County. Chippewa River below Mt. Pleasant affecting Isabella County. Pine River at Alma affecting Gratiot County.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast. This approaches the flood of record.
Where: White River near Whitehall.
When: Until late Saturday evening.
Impacts: At 7.5 feet, Expect moderate flooding of farmlands and cottages along the river. High water reaches the first flood of some homes and canoe liveries along the river.
Additional Details: - At 10:15 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 6.7 feet. - Bankfull stage is 5.0 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:15 AM EDT Thursday was 6.8 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 6.9 feet this evening.
