Description

The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in IndianaIllinoi
S: Wabash River from Hutsonville to Vincennes. .Minor flooding continues on the Wabash River from Hutsonville down to Vincennes. The river has crested. Flooding should come to an end on the Wabash over the weekend.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Wabash River at Riverton.
When: Until Monday afternoon.
Impacts: At 18.5 feet, High water surrounds elevated river cabins. County roads to these cabins are impassable. Agricultural flooding is in progress. Seep water develops behind levees.
Additional Details: - At 8:00 PM CDT /9:00 PM EDT/ Friday the stage was 18.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.5 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:00 PM CDT /9:00 PM EDT/ Friday was 19.9 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to fall below flood stage early Monday morning and continue falling to 4.9 feet Monday, September 07. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet. - Flood HistoryThis crest compares to a previous crest of 18.9 feet on 03/13/1993. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Where: Wabash River at Hutsonville Legacy Power Plant Site.
When: Until Sunday morning.
Impacts: At 18.0 feet, Seep water occurs behind levees on Indiana side. Hutson Creek begins to overflow from backwater. Old Darwin Road and a few rural roads in eastern Clark and Crawford counties in Illinois are impassable. Low agricultural land floods.
Additional Details: - There is no current observed data. - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to fall below flood stage late tomorrow evening and continue falling to 6.4 feet Monday, September 07. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet. - Flood HistoryThis crest compares to a previous crest of 17.2 feet on 06/23/1946. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
