Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: Southwestern Chatham County in central North Carolina West Central Lee County in central North Carolina Northeastern Montgomery County in central North Carolina Northwestern Moore County in central North Carolina Southeastern Randolph County in central North Carolina
When: Until 930 PM EDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Additional Details: - At 634 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory area. Up to 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Asheboro, Troy, North Carolina Zoo, Badin Lake, Biscoe, Seagrove, Robbins, Star, Candor, Norman, Steeds, Highfalls, Eagle Springs, Coleridge, Harpers Crossroads, Seven Lakes, Ulah, Glendon and Eldorado. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
