Description

The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Wisconsin Black River Near Galesville affecting La Crosse and Trempealeau Counties. .Around 4.5 inches of rain has fallen this month in the Black River Basin, this has resulted in moderate flooding along the Black River near Galesville. The river is expected to fall below flood stage Saturday morning and continue falling to 5.9 feet Thursday, April 23.
What: Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
Where: Black River near Galesville.
When: Until Saturday evening.
Additional Details: - At 10:00 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 14.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:00 AM CDT Thursday was 14.3 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to fall below flood stage Saturday morning and continue falling to 5.9 feet Thursday, April 23. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet. - Flood HistoryThis crest compares to a previous crest of 14.3 feet on 09/11/1938. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
