The National Weather Service in Austin/San Antonio has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Northwestern Bexar County in south central Texa
S: West Central Comal County in south central Texa
S: Southeastern Kendall County in south central Texa
S: Until 1115 PM CDT. At 620 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
Hazard: Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding.

Impact: Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include San Antonio, Boerne, San Antonio Int Airport, Canyon Lake, Leon Valley, Helotes, Fair Oaks Ranch, Bulverde, Shavano Park, Hollywood Park, Cross Mountain, The Dominion, Leon Springs, Timberwood Park, Bergheim, Kreutzberg, Guadalupe River State Park, Walnut Grove, Spring Branch and Nelson City.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
