Heavy rain flooding

In eight years living in Kitchener I have never seen the creek over flow it's banks. The creek from top of the hill to where the creek normally flows is between 15 to 20 feet in depth. During the heavy heavy rains the creek burst it's banks in a matter of several minutes. Never has it been this high.
