THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 262 IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 PM MDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN NEBRASKA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 8 COUNTIES IN PANHANDLE NEBRASKA BANNER BOX BUTTE CHEYENNE DAWES KIMBALL MORRILL SCOTTS BLUFF SIOUX IN WYOMING THIS WATCH INCLUDES 4 COUNTIES IN EAST CENTRAL WYOMING NIOBRARA IN SOUTHEAST WYOMING GOSHEN LARAMIE PLATTE THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF AGATE, ALLIANCE, ANGORA, BAYARD, BORDEAUX, BRIDGEPORT, BROWNSON, CHADRON, CHADRON ST PARK, CHEYENNE, GERING, GUERNSEY, HARRISBURG, HARRISON, HEMINGFORD, KIMBALL, LUSK, REDBIRD, REDINGTON, SCOTTSBLUFF, SIDNEY, TORRINGTON, AND WHEATLAND.

What: Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: A portion of southeast Wyoming, including the following county, Platte.
When: Until 445 PM MDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos.
Additional Details: - At 136 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.75 and 1 inch of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 0.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Wheatland, Phifer Airfield, Y-O Ranch and Platte County Fairgrounds. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.

At 320 PM MDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 7 miles southwest of Veteran to 6 miles west of Chugwater, moving east at 20 mph.
Hazard: 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

Impact: Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Chugwater, Yoder, and Slater. This includes Interstate 25 in Wyoming between mile markers 47 and 61.
