Description

The National Weather Service in La Crosse WI has issued a Flood Watch for the following rivers in Wisconsin Black River Near Galesville affecting Trempealeau and La Crosse zones.
: The Flood Watch is extended for the following rivers in Wisconsin Black River at Black River Falls affecting Jackson County. .Thunderstorms are expected to develop across much of the Black River drainage basin Monday evening through the overnight hours. These river forecasts take into account an expected 1 to 1.5 inches of rain upstream of Black River Falls into the headwaters of Taylor County.
What: Flooding is possible.
Where: Black River near Galesville.
When: From Thursday morning to late Saturday evening.
Impacts: At 12.0 feet, Flooding mainly impacts wildlands and agricultural pasture land. The approaches on both ends of the County Road VV bridge over the Black River in Jackson County may begin to flood and the bridge gates may be closed.
Additional Details: - At 10:00 AM CDT Monday the stage was 6.8 feet. - ForecastFlood stage may be reached Thursday morning. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
