Description

The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Wisconsin Black River at Black River Falls affecting Jackson County. Black River Near Galesville affecting Trempealeau and La Crosse Counties. Additional river and weather information is available at www.weather.gov/lacrosse. The next statement will be issued this evening by 845 PM CDT.
What: Moderate flooding is forecast.
Where: Black River near Galesville.
When: From Wednesday morning to early Sunday morning.
Impacts: At 12.0 feet, Flooding mainly impacts wildlands and agricultural pasture land. The approaches on both ends of the County Road VV bridge over the Black River in Jackson County may begin to flood and the bridge gates may be closed.
Additional Details: - At 5:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 8.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage late tomorrow morning to a crest of 13.4 feet Thursday evening. It will then fall below flood stage Saturday afternoon. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet. - Flood HistoryThis crest compares to a previous crest of 13.4 feet on 05/20/2017. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
