Description

Forecast flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity for the following rivers in Wisconsin Wolf River at New London affecting Winnebago, Waupaca and Outagamie Counties. Wolf River near Shiocton affecting Shawano, Waupaca and Outagamie Counties. For the Lower Wolf Riverincluding Shiocton, New London, Lake PoyganModerate flooding is forecast.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
Where: Wolf River at New London.
When: Until further notice.
Impacts: At 10.1 feet, Flood waters begin to cover portions of West Wolf River Avenue downstream of New London. Widespread lowland flooding is occurring from New London to Fremont.
Additional Details: - At 10:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 9.5 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:30 AM CDT Monday was 9.5 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 10.6 feet early Saturday morning. - Flood stage is 9.0 feet. - Flood HistoryThis crest compares to a previous crest of 10.5 feet on 05/12/1960. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
Where: Portions of central, east central, north central, and northeast Wisconsin, including the following areas, in central Wisconsin, Marathon, Portage, Waushara and Wood. In east central Wisconsin, Calumet, Manitowoc and Winnebago. In north central Wisconsin, Langlade and Lincoln. In northeast Wisconsin, Brown, Door, Kewaunee, Menominee, Northern Marinette County, Northern Oconto County, Outagamie, Shawano, Southern Marinette County, Southern Oconto County and Waupaca.
When: From 4 PM CDT this afternoon through Tuesday morning.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Extensive street flooding will also be possible.
Additional Details: - Much of the region received 1 to 2 inches of rain Saturday night into Sunday morning, so soils are saturated. A large thunderstorm complex is expected to develop across the watch area late this afternoon and evening, and will likely produce widespread rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches, with locally higher amounts. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop.

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Wisconsin Embarrass River near Embarrass affecting Shawano and Waupaca Counties.
What: Minor flooding is occurring.
Where: Embarrass River near Embarrass.

Impacts: At 7.0 feet, There is widespread flooding of lowland and agricultural land.

Description

At 454 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line from 7 miles south of Wittenberg to 13 miles southeast of Wittenberg, or along a line from 23 miles northeast of Stevens Point to 21 miles west of Shawano, moving north at 30 mph.
Hazard: Quarter size hail.
Source: Radar indicated.
Impact: Damage to vehicles is expected. This severe thunderstorm will be near Wittenberg around 510 PM CDT. Other locations impacted by the severe thunderstorm include Tigerton, Split Rock, Marion, Big Falls, Norske, Whitcomb, Eland, Bowler, Shepley and Tilleda.

Action Recommandée

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from windows. These storms are capable of producing large hail. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT Monday for a portion of northeast Wisconsin.
