Description

The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Wisconsin Milwaukee River Near Cedarburg affecting Ozaukee County. Root River At Franklin affecting Milwaukee County. Root River Canal At Raymond affecting Racine County.
: The Flood Warning is cancelled for the following rivers in Wisconsin Root River At Racine affecting Racine County.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Root River at Franklin.
When: Until late tomorrow evening.
Impacts: At 8.0 feet, A low spot on Oakwood Road is flooded. Some yards along the river flood.
Additional Details: - At 10:00 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 8.3 feet. - Bankfull stage is 7.0 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 10:00 PM CDT Saturday was 8.3 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 8.3 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow morning. - Flood stage is 8.0 feet. - Flood HistoryThis crest compares to a previous crest of 8.3 feet on 06/18/1996. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Even 6 inches of fast-moving flood water can knock you off your feet and a depth of 2 feet will float your car. Never try to walk, swim, or drive through such swift water. If you come upon flood waters, stop, turn around and go another way. Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
