Wave heights have been lowering this afternoon, diminishing the high surf threat. Therefore, the High Surf Advisory has been allowed to expire. However, a high threat for sneaker waves remains along the coast through at least the weekend. Always remain vigilant when along the coast. Waves may run farther up the beach than normal. These waves can easily catch people off guard. Never turn your back to the ocean.
