Description

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to bepossible.* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the followingareas, Brazos, Grimes, Houston, Madison, Montgomery, NorthernLiberty, Polk, San Jacinto, Trinity and Walker.* WHEN...Through Monday evening.* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeksand streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- Another round of showers and thunderstorms is expected toimpact the area tomorrow. Portions of the area have received2-4" of rainfall, and an additional 1-3" with some locallyhigher totals is possible through Monday. With soils alreadysaturated from the multiple previous heavy rainfall eventsthat have recently impacted the area, Flash Flood Guidanceremains relatively low.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Texas...Long King Creek near Livingston affecting San Jacinto and PolkCounties.Brazos River near West Columbia affecting Brazoria County.Brazos River near Rosharon affecting Brazoria and Fort BendCounties.Brazos River at US 59, Sugar Land, TX affecting Fort Bend County....The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas...Trinity River near Crockett affecting Walker, Madison, Trinityand Houston Counties.Trinity River at Liberty affecting Liberty County.Trinity River near Moss Bluff affecting Chambers and LibertyCounties.Trinity River at Riverside affecting San Jacinto, Trinity, Walkerand Polk Counties.For the Trinity River...including Crockett, Riverside, Goodrich,Liberty, Moss Bluff...Major flooding is forecast.For the Long King Creek...including Livingston...Minor flooding isforecast.For the Brazos River...including West Columbia, US 59, Sugar Land,TX, Richmond, Rosharon...Moderate flooding is forecast.* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.* WHERE...Long King Creek near Livingston.* WHEN...Until late tomorrow morning.* IMPACTS...At 19.0 feet, At levels above 19 feet minor lowlandflooding begins as water escapes the main channel of the creek.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 8:45 AM CDT Monday the stage was 21.7 feet.- Bankfull stage is 14.0 feet.- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hoursending at 8:45 AM CDT Monday was 21.7 feet.- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 22.5feet this afternoon. Several roads into the Green Rich Shores andDeep River Plantation subdivisions are covered with up to one footof water and homes in Deep River Plantation are threatened.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 8:30 AM CDT Monday the stage was 137.8 feet.- Bankfull stage is 132.0 feet.- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hoursending at 8:30 AM CDT Monday was 137.9 feet.- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 138.1feet early Wednesday morning. It will then rise to 138.6 feetearly Saturday morning.
