...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas...Trinity River near Crockett affecting Houston, Walker, Madisonand Trinity Counties.For the Trinity River...including Crockett, Riverside, Goodrich,Liberty, Moss Bluff...Major flooding is forecast.* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding isforecast. This approaches the flood of record.* WHERE...Trinity River near Crockett.* WHEN...Until early Saturday morning.* IMPACTS...At 45.0 feet, Moderate lowland flooding begins in thevicinity of the gage impacting livestock grazing and prison farms.In past floods problems occurred from the Highway 7 bridgedownstream to Highway 21 bridge due to high flows in the backwaterof Lake Livingston.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 10:45 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 45.5 feet.- Bankfull stage is 35.0 feet.- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hoursending at 10:45 AM CDT Wednesday was 46.6 feet.- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stageFriday afternoon and continue falling to 36.8 feet Mondaymorning.- Flood stage is 41.0 feet.- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of45.5 feet on 05/18/1968.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
