The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Texa
S: Angelina River Near Angelina River at Hwy 59 near Lufkin affecting Nacogdoches and Angelina Counties. For the Angelina Riverincluding Angelina River near Alto, Angelina River at Hwy 59 near LufkinMinor flooding is forecast.
What: Minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Angelina River near Angelina River at Hwy 59 near Lufkin.
When: From Tuesday afternoon until further notice.
Impacts: At 161.0 feet, Expect minor flooding with the gravel parking lot flooded and water beginning to overflow the gravel road where it widens into the parking lot. Also expect about a foot of overflow across the left bank of the Angelina River looking downstream.
Additional Details: - At 7:45 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 160.0 feet. - ForecastThe Angelina River north of Lufkin is expected to rise above the 161 foot flood stage early Tuesday afternoon and continue rising to 161.5 feet Friday evening.
