Description

At 249 AM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Palmer to near Dawson to 7 miles north of Mart to near Lorena. Movement was east at 30 mph.
Hazard: Wind gusts up to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
Source: Radar indicated.
Impact: Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible. Strong thunderstorms will be near Ennis, Robinson, Mart, Palmer, Riesel, Coolidge, Golinda, Hallsburg, Alma, and Barry around 255 AM CDT. Corsicana and Lake Mexia around 300 AM CDT. Mexia, Marlin, Wortham, Angus, Fort Parker State Park, Lake Halbert, and Richland-Chambers Reservoir around 310 AM CDT. Groesbeck and Navarro around 315 AM CDT. Seven Points around 330 AM CDT. Kerens around 335 AM CDT. Other locations impacted by these storms include Oak Valley, Mooreville, Avalon, Streetman, Tolosa, Reagan, Donie, Richland, Perry, and Highbank. This includes the following highway
S: Interstate 35 between mile markers 313 and 344. Interstate 35E between mile markers 385 and 409. Interstate 45 between mile markers 182 and 265.

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms and may lead to localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with these storms. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle. These storms may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service. To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service office in Fort Worth.
