Most flooddeaths occur in vehicles.Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize thedangers of flooding.Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or lawenforcement and request they pass this information to the NationalWeather Service when you can do so safely.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to bepossible.* WHERE...A portion of southeast Texas, including the followingcounties, Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, Houston, Madison, Polk, SanJacinto, Trinity and Walker.* WHEN...Through Monday morning.* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- Training heavy rain is expected overnight which could lead tostreet flooding and rises on area creeks, streams and rivers.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas...Neches River Near Alto affecting Houston, Trinity, Anderson andCherokee Counties.For the Neches River...including Lake Palestine, Neches, Alto,Diboll, Rockland...Minor flooding is forecast.* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.* WHERE...Neches River near Alto.* WHEN...Until further notice.* IMPACTS...At 18.0 feet, Expect moderate to severe flooding of theheavily wooded floodplain. Boat ramps and picnic areas will becompletely inundated.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 9:15 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 16.2 feet.- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to 17.5 feet Fridayevening. Additional rises are possible thereafter.- Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
