...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas...Navasota River near Normangee affecting Brazos, Grimes andMadison Counties.For the Navasota River...including Normangee...Moderate flooding isforecast.* WHAT...Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding isforecast.* WHERE...Navasota River near Normangee.* WHEN...Until Sunday morning.* IMPACTS...At 20.0 feet, Major lowland flooding begins with massiveinundation of the flood plain as the river is close to 2 mileswide and OSR become inundated one half mile on the right bank and1.5 miles on the left bank.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 10:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 19.3 feet.- Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet.- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hoursending at 10:00 AM CDT Wednesday was 20.3 feet.- Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stageSaturday evening and continue falling to 13.9 feet Mondaymorning.- Flood stage is 15.0 feet.- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of19.3 feet on 12/19/2001.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
