Description

The National Weather Service in Nashville has extended the Flash Flood Warning for Eastern Robertson County in middle Tennessee Central Sumner County in middle Tennessee Until 715 PM CDT. At 528 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.
Hazard: Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

Impact: Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include Springfield, Hendersonville, Goodlettsville, White House, Millersville, Greenbrier, Ridgetop, Cross Plains, Portland, Orlinda, Mitchellville, Cottontown and Oak Grove.

Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: A portion of Middle Tennessee, including the following counties, Cheatham, Davidson, Macon, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Trousdale, Williamson and Wilson.
When: Until 645 PM CDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Additional Details: - At 448 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is already occurring in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Gallatin, Lebanon, Ashland City, Nashville, Madison, Hendersonville, Smyrna, Brentwood, La Vergne, Mount Juliet, Goodlettsville, Millersville, Greenbrier, Nolensville, Forest Hills, Oak Hill, Coopertown, Belle Meade, Kingston Springs and Lakewood. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
