THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 93 IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 PM CDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN OKLAHOMA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 14 COUNTIES IN EAST CENTRAL OKLAHOMA OKFUSKEE IN NORTHEAST OKLAHOMA CRAIG CREEK DELAWARE MAYES NOWATA OKMULGEE OSAGE OTTAWA PAWNEE ROGERS TULSA WAGONER WASHINGTON OK THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF BARTLESVILLE, CLAREMORE, GROVE, JAY, MIAMI, NOWATA, OKEMAH, OKMULGEE, PAWHUSKA, PAWNEE, PRYOR, SAPULPA, TULSA, VINITA, AND WAGONER.

Description

At 636 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms along a line extending from 2 miles north of Fairfax to 5 miles southwest of Morrison. Movement was northeast at 35 mph.
Hazard: Wind gusts 40 to 50 mph and nickel size hail.
Source: Radar indicated.
Impact: Gusty winds could knock down small tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible. Locations in or near the path include Ralston Skedee Sooner Lake Pawnee Burbank Fairfax Pawhuska

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 1000 PM CDT for northeastern Oklahoma.
