Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: A portion of northeast Ohio, including the following counties, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Lake, Medina, Portage and Summit.
When: Until 1215 AM EDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Additional Details: - At 804 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Cleveland, Akron, Medina, Painesville, Willowick, Ravenna, Chardon, Fairport Harbor, Parma, Lakewood, Cuyahoga Falls, Euclid, Mentor, Cleveland Heights, Strongsville, Brunswick, Westlake, North Royalton, Kent and Solon. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information.

Action Recommandée

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
