What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: A portion of northeast Ohio, including the following counties, Mahoning, Portage and Stark.
When: Until 845 PM EDT.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Additional Details: - At 535 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Canton, Youngstown, Boardman, Alliance, North Canton, Louisville, Campbell, Canfield, Sebring, Hartville, Austintown, Struthers, Randolph, Atwater, Poland, Ellsworth, New Middletown, East Canton, Lowellville and Beloit. - Please visit www.weather.gov/safety/flood for flood safety and preparedness information.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
