Upper Level Storm System To Bring Light To Moderate Snowfall Across Nevada Late Wednesday Through Friday Morning: .An upper level storm system will bring the chance for accumulation snowfall for much of NE Nevada Wednesday night into Friday morning. Snow amounts of 1" to 3" will be possible for the Valleys, with 2" to 5" possible for Passes and roadway summits, and between 6" and 12" possible for the Ruby Mountains/East humboldt range.
What: Snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 1 and 5 inches for Valleys and Passes. With 6" to 12" of snowfall for the Ruby Mountains/East Humboldt range. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
Where: Southern Lander and Southern Eureka, Northern Elko, Ruby Mountains and East Humboldt Range in Elko, South Central Elko, and Southwest Elko Counties.
When: From 10 AM Wednesday to midnight PST Thursday Night.
Impacts: Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous conditions could impact the Wednesday evening and Thursday morning commutes.
