What: West winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts up to 60 mph expected.
Where: Northern Elko, Ruby Mountains and East Humboldt Range in Elko, South Central Elko, and Southeastern Elko Counties.
When: From 11 AM this morning to 11 PM PDT this evening.
Impacts: Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Blowing dust may temporarily reduce visibility to one-half mile or less in spots. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Watch for falling debris and tree limbs. Use caution if you must drive.
