Description

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.* WHERE...A portion of north central Nebraska, including thefollowing counties, Boyd, Cherry and Keya Paha.* WHEN...Until 1000 AM CDT /900 AM MDT/.* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.Some low-water crossings may become impassable.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 529 AM CDT /429 AM MDT/, Doppler radar indicated heavyrain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing orexpected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 2 and3 inches of rain have fallen.- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expectedover the area. This additional rain will result in minorflooding.- Some locations that will experience flooding include...Valentine, Kilgore, Nenzel, Norden, Merritt Reservoir,Crookston, Burton, Highway 97 crossing the Niobrara River,Smith Falls State Park, Schlagel Creek State WildlifeManagement Area, Sparks, Anderson Bridge State WildlifeManagement Area, Nets Peak, Mills and Brocksburg.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
