Most flooddeaths occur in vehicles.Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drivecars through flooded areas.Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize thedangers of flooding.Rainfall heavier than forecast could cause river levels to rise evenhigher than predicted. ...The Flood Warning continues for the following river in Missouri...Illinois...Mississippi River at Grafton.Mississippi River at Winfield.Mississippi River at Hannibal.Mississippi River at Louisiana.Mississippi River at Chester.Mississippi River at Saverton.Mississippi River at Clarksville.River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecastprecipitation for the next 24 hours.* WHAT...Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.* WHERE...Mississippi River at Grafton.* WHEN...Until Monday evening.* IMPACTS...At 21.0 feet, Water begins flooding the floor at thePalisades Marina in Portage Des Sioux. Access to homes alongNorth Shore Drive in eastern St. Charles County becomes cut offnear this height.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 8:30 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 20.1 feet.- Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hoursending at 8:30 PM CDT Wednesday was 20.1 feet.- Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 20.4feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below floodstage early Sunday afternoon.- Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
