The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in MissouriKansa
S: Little Osage River near Horton affecting Vernon County. Little Osage River at Fulton affecting Bourbon County. Marmaton River near Nevada affecting Vernon County. Osage River at Taberville affecting St. Clair and Vernon Counties. For the Little Osage Riverincluding Fulton, HortonMinor flooding is forecast. For the Marmaton Riverincluding NevadaMinor flooding is forecast. For the Osage Riverincluding TabervilleMinor flooding is forecast.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Little Osage River near Horton.
When: Until early Sunday morning.
Impacts: At 45.0 feet, moderate flooding occurs at the gage site. Low lying areas along Route D near Stotesbury flood.
Additional Details: - At 7:45 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 43.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 41.0 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 7:45 PM CDT Thursday was 43.1 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 44.0 feet early tomorrow afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late Saturday evening. - Flood stage is 41.0 feet. - Flood HistoryThis crest compares to a previous crest of 44.0 feet on 04/20/2013. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
