The National Weather Service in Springfield has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Northwestern Lawrence County in southwestern Missouri Northeastern Jasper County in southwestern Missouri Western Dade County in southwestern Missouri Until 545 PM CDT. At 501 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 10 miles south of Golden City, or 14 miles east of Carthage, moving east at 20 mph.
Hazard: 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

Impact: Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees. Locations impacted include Mount Vernon, Lockwood, Golden City, Miller, Avilla, La Russell, Arcola, Red Oak, Dudenville, Maple Grove, Neola, Meinert, and Sylvania. This includes Interstate 44 near mile marker 49.
