What: Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.

When: Until late tomorrow evening.
Impacts: At 20.0 feet, Major flooding with several homes and business structures flooded. Low places on MS Highway 43 will be under water.
Additional Details: - At 7:45 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 19.1 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - ForecastThe river is cresting near 19.0 feet today before beginning to fall. Additional rainfall is expected this week and if the heaviest amounts fall in the river basin, the river could rise again. Where: Pearl River near Pearl River.
When: Until early Saturday morning.
Impacts: At 15.5 feet, Secondary roads to the river and throughout Honey Island Swamp are inundated. Property in the vicinity of the gage is flooded threatening about 20 homes along the left bank. The Bogue Chitto National Wildlife Refuge will be closed to hunting at the 15.5 foot stage.
Additional Details: - At 8:00 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 14.7 feet. - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 14.8 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Friday evening. - Flood stage is 14.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Impacts: At 20.0 feet, North Beech Road and Palestine Road in Picayune will be impassable. Several homes will be flooded in vicinity of the stream. Flooding threatens structures along MS Highway 43 near the bridge and fills culverts and ditches along bridge approach.
Additional Details: - At 7:45 AM CDT Tuesday the stage was 19.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 10.0 feet. - ForecastThe river will remain just below major flood stage, 19.9 feet, through Wednesday before falling. Additional rainfall is expected this week and if the heaviest amounts fall in the river basin, the river could rise again.
