The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls has issued a Fire Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from Monday morning through Monday evening.
Affected Area: In Minnesota, Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Cottonwood, Nobles, Jackson and Pipestone. In South Dakota, Brookings.
Winds: South 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph.
Relative Humidity: As low as 24 percent.
Impacts: Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
