Description

The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Michigan Rifle River near Sterling affecting Arenac County. For the Rifle Riverincluding SterlingMinor flooding is forecast.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Rifle River near Sterling.
When: Until late Wednesday morning.
Impacts: At 9.0 feet, High water begins to impact campground at White's Canoe Livery at Melita Road bridge.
Additional Details: - At 5:30 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 6.2 feet. - Bankfull stage is 4.5 feet. - Recent ActivityThe maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 5:30 PM EDT Sunday was 6.2 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 9.7 feet tomorrow evening. It will then fall below flood stage early Wednesday morning. - Flood stage is 6.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
