Areas of fog have developed this afternoon across portions of the lower Maryland and Virginia eastern shore. Visibilities average between one half mile and one mile, but will locally be reduced to one quarter miles at times, mainly closer to the Atlantic shore from Ocean City to Wallops Island. The visibilities are expected to slowly improve this evening as winds shift to the south and increase. Motorists should be alert for sudden changes in visibility due to the areas of dense fog. Drive at reduced speeds and use low beam headlights only.
