...The National Weather Service in New Orleans LA has issued a FloodWarning for the following rivers in Louisiana...Mississippi River At Red River Landing affecting East Baton Rouge,West Feliciana and Pointe Coupee Parishes.For the Lower Mississippi River...including Red River Landing...Minor flooding is forecast.* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.* WHERE...Mississippi River at Red River Landing.* WHEN...From late Tuesday night to Monday, May 27.* IMPACTS...At 51.0 feet, All river islands along the reach from RedRiver Landing to Baton Rouge will be inundated. Recreational campsand river bottom farm land will be under water.* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...- At 8:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 45.2 feet.- Bankfull stage is 46.0 feet.- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stageWednesday, May 15 to a crest of 50.5 feet Wednesday, May 22.It will then fall below flood stage Sunday, May 26.- Flood stage is 48.0 feet.- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of50.5 feet on 04/16/1874.- http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
