The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Louisiana Bogue Chitto River Near Bush affecting St. Tammany Parish. Bogue Chitto River At Franklinton affecting Washington Parish.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
Where: Bogue Chitto River at Franklinton.
When: Until tomorrow evening.
Impacts: At 16.0 feet, Bogue Chitto Heights Subdivision will begin to flood. Some homes will be damaged. Homes on the west bank north of Louisiana Highway 10 will flood. It is recommended that sand and gravel operations be stopped and equipment secured. Access roads to recreational areas will flood.
Additional Details: - At 7:15 AM CST Monday the stage was 15.9 feet. - Bankfull stage is 12.0 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise to a crest of 16.0 feet this afternoon. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law enforcement and request they pass this information to the National Weather Service when you can do so safely.
