Description

The National Weather Service in Quad Cities IA IL has issued a Flood Warning for the following rivers in Iowa Cedar River near Conesville affecting Muscatine and Louisa Counties. Iowa River near Lone Tree affecting Johnson, Louisa and Washington Counties. English River at Kalona affecting Johnson and Washington Counties.
What: Minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Iowa River near Lone Tree.
When: From late Thursday night to early Saturday morning.
Impacts: At 16.0 feet, Flood waters affect parts of Lola Lane and Y Avenue. River Junction Access Park is closed.
Additional Details: - At 9:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 11.2 feet and beginning to rise. - ForecastThe river will rise above flood stage early Friday morning to 16.6 feet early Friday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage Friday afternoon to 13.5 feet Saturday morning. It will rise to 14.2 feet Sunday morning. It will then fall again and remain below flood stage. - Flood stage is 16.0 feet.

Description

What: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.
Where: Portions of Illinois, including the following areas, Bureau, Hancock, Henderson, Henry IL, McDonough, Mercer, Putnam, Rock Island, Warren and Whiteside, Iowa, including the following areas, Cedar, Clinton, Des Moines, Henry IA, Iowa, Jefferson, Johnson, Keokuk, Lee, Louisa, Muscatine, Scott, Van Buren and Washington, and northeast Missouri, including the following areas, Clark and Scotland.
When: Through Thursday morning.
Impacts: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks.
Additional Details: - Several rounds of heavy rain producing thunderstorms are expected through Thursday morning across the watch area. The storms may be slow moving or redeveloping over the same areas resulting in torrential rainfall and possibly several inches of rain by Thursday morning.
