Description

The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Indiana Wabash River at Lafayette. Wabash River at Montezuma. Wabash River at Covington. .Multiple rounds of rainfall will bring minor lowland flooding to the Wabash River basin that could hang around through much of next week. The current river forecasts include around an inch of rainfall through Saturday morning, but do not include rainfall from Saturday through Sunday. Higher rainfall amounts in the Wabash basin could increase crests or lengthen the amount of time in flood.
What: Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Wabash River at Lafayette.
When: Until further notice.
Impacts: At 16.0 feet, Lowland flooding is in progress. Flood waters near SR 225 between Old SR 25 and Battleground. Warren CR 350 N near Black Rock Preserve and Tippecanoe CR 950 W in the Wabash Bottoms, Janssen Tract area may be impassable. Fort Ouiatenon grounds begin to flood. Flooding at the Grandville Public Access site.

Impacts: At 21.0 feet, Lanes to river residences west of South River Road south of Covington flooded. Sandhill Road at Mud Run just northeast of Covington begins to flood. Extensive lowland flooding in progress. Higher bottomlands flood.
Additional Details: - At 11:45 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 13.9 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage this evening to a crest of 21.9 feet early Sunday morning. Description

What: South winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.
Where: Portions of central, east central, north central, south central, southeast, southwest, and west central Indiana.
When: Until 7 PM EDT this evening.
Impacts: Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
