Description

The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in IndianaOhio Tippecanoe River near Ora affecting Pulaski County. Saint Joseph River Ohio near Newville affecting Allen IN, Defiance and De Kalb Counties. Saint Joseph River Ohio below Montpelier affecting Williams County. Tiffin River at Stryker affecting Fulton OH, Defiance and Williams Counties.
: The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana North Branch Elkhart River at Cosperville affecting Noble County. .Excessive runoff from recent heavy rainfall continues to cause Minor to Moderate flooding on many rivers across the area. Additional heavy rain in the coming days could exacerbate the flooding. For the Tippecanoe Riverincluding Ora, Winamac, Norway Dam Minor flooding is forecast. For the Saint Joseph River Ohioincluding Montpelier, Newville, St. Joe River Ft. WayneModerate flooding is forecast. For the Tiffin Riverincluding StrykerMinor flooding is forecast. For the Elkhart Riverincluding Goshen, CospervilleMinor flooding is forecast.
What: Minor flooding is forecast.
Where: Tippecanoe River near Ora.
When: From Thursday evening until further notice.
Impacts: At 12.5 feet, Flooding begins to affect residences near the river.
Additional Details: - At 10:45 PM EDT Wednesday the stage was 11.4 feet. - ForecastThe river is expected to rise above flood stage Thursday evening and continue rising to a crest of 12.6 feet early Saturday morning. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks. Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive cars through flooded areas. Description

What: Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
Where: A portion of northern Indiana, including the following counties, Marshall, Pulaski and Starke.
When: Until 530 AM EDT /430 AM CDT/.
Impacts: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Additional Details: - At 221 AM EDT /121 AM CDT/, Doppler radar indicated additional rainfall moving into the area and with the previous rainfall from yesterday will cause urban and small stream flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include Plymouth, Knox, Bourbon, North Judson, Argos, Culver, Walnut, Tippecanoe, Oak Grove, Burr Oak, Hibbard, Maxinkuckee, Rutland, Twin Lakes, Ober, Winona, Ora, Bass Lake, Inwood and Toto. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
