Description
A narrow swath of light to moderate snow will move east-southeast across portions of north-central and east-central Kentucky this morning. Minor snow accumulations of dry, fluffy snow is expected. In most places a half to three quarters of an inch of snow will be possible. Expect this band of light snow to quickly coat previously plowed/treated roads once again, which may lead to slick spots on area roads. Motorists traveling this morning should slow down and use extra caution while traveling.

What: Very cold wind chills as low as 12 below expected.
Where: Portions of south central Indiana and east central, north central, northwest, and south central Kentucky.
When: From 1 AM EST /midnight CST/ to 1 PM EST /noon CST/ Saturday.
Impacts: The cold wind chills as low as 10 below zero could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a hat, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills inside.
